I found this interesting little circuit amongst some old bookmarks and was thinkin' it'd be handy for adding tape m0j0 to those new fangled 4 track digital recordings (and a good way to use up some junker germ trannies).  However I can think of two concerns:

1) Mic/Line:  I'm guessing this circuit is for line level signals.  Does that mean it needs a mic pre added to the front, or could the first opamp be rigged as an unbalanced mic pre?  Another idea could be to double the circuit and use it as a stereo mixdown effect instead.

2) Power Supply:  A +/-15v supply is specified...what a pain!  I could get away with just using a 9v battery and connecting a bias voltage through a 1M resistor to the non-inverting inputs of each opamp, right?

thanks.
