I just scored big on ebay.  19 Hammond 1590BBs for $25 - including shipping!  The seller had them listed as 1590Zs -much smaller, watertight boxes, but the picture was of a 1590BB.  I confirmed that the picture was accurate and I was the only bidder - 9.99 plus 15 for shipping. Just got them today.  Woo hoo!   :D

Hey!  Is Athin still around?  Athin, tell us if any boxes can be obtained in Warsaw.  I do have to go there a few times, after all.  Perhaps some sort of purchase and shipping "arrangement" can be worked out.

They have to let me have SOME down time...

What category did you find these under? I searched for new and completed for 1590, hammond, etc and didn't see anything.

I don't recall exactly how I found them - I was just randomly searching for possible enclosures and used searches like "project boxes" "1590*" (* is a wildcard), "aluminum diecast" - I don't remember which one got me to this listing . . .

Well, we can help you with your guilt -- can't we, guys?  What you need to do is send all those boxes to Aron.  Then you won't have to feel bad any more.  You won't have anyone putting contracts out on you, either!

LOL!  Sorry for seeming like I'm gloating, but you know how it is when something great happens, but no one around you really understands?  If you could have seen the depth of the blankness in my girlfriends eyes when I told her about my score . . .  :D

I have seen it...  it's in my wife's eyes whenever I talk about my job, my guitar or effects.

Wow, your wife looks at you when you talk about stuff like that?  With my wife, if it goes to one of my "silly" topics, I have to stand in front of the TV to get her attention--and then she just tries to look around me!

By all means gloat, I sure would! My best score to date has been an Original Crybaby (with independent and not board mounted jacks) for $9.95. I put a jack and a battery clip in it, and it worked like a new one. The pot wasn't even scratchy. With a new coat of paint, I'll trade you 10 of your boxes for it! :D
