Anyone know what changes to the (I assume fairly standard vox/cryababy type) wha circuit occures in the f*#% tone "clyde wha deluxe"   ?

they're described as  "Wacked"  "Jimi" (Clyde Standard) or "Shaft".

I'm decideing what mods to do to my crybaby, so I'd like to know what others have decided upon !

I assume one thing that happens is that the wha sweep capacitor changes,  and I wouldn't be too supprised if the 'Q' resistor (parallel to the inductor) changes ?

I've been considering having maybe a three pole rotarty switch to select between 'modes',  which have different sweep caps, Q resistors and possibly a cap parallel to the sweep pot as in the crybaby JH.

anyone know anything ?

hmm,  thinking about what a couple of reviews have said about the Q control being on the circuitboard,  maybe the Q resistor isn't changed by the mode switch and it's simply a sweep cap switch ?

I had a Fulltone Clyde Deluxe in the shop. Just caps. And a three position switch. Also they have a little transistor boost circuit for the volume boost knob. The Fulltone deluxe uses a 33k across the inductor. They say it's a signature series clyde but I have had an original sig VOX in my shop and they had a 100k across the inductor and a lot of the Fulltone's values were different. Since then I compared the values of the VOX I had to ones on the internet and they come out the same for that period. There is a post on how they Fulltone tweeked the values to get their pot to sound like a clyde. I have them all written down somewhere and will post as soon as I can find them.
