Hi, does anyone know the exact drill hole sizes for the various holes in a stomp box.  For the standard parts that is... jacks, switch, pots, led bezel, power adapter?  Just so i know what to look for.

Thanks

No problem sir, if it helps even one fellow forumite, it's worth it.

Metric sizes for Uk available parts are as follows. They are what I have found to fit anyway;

DPDT stomp switch 12mm (they all seem to be this size)
mini pots                 5mm
standard pots          10mm
open metal jack sockets    10mm
plastic jack sockets           12mm
small toggle switches          5mm
bigger toggle switches        8mm
metal non insulated dc socket (2.1mm)   8mm
oval plastic insulated as above   8mm then open up with a file to the oval shape.
large round plastic insulated as above  12mm

I have used one of the cone drills (~£25) in a drill stand to open out when I have access to the pillar drill at work. Great for the more expensive cast aluminium! For home drilling with the cheap folded aluminium boxes from Maplins I clamp the box to a large piece of wood, centre punch and then drill using a standard Black and Decker with a 2 or 3mm before getting up to the required size. I usually use a 6 or 8mm between a 10 or 12. Once the washers and nuts are on the pots or switches you can't see any slight imperfections. I just need to get my painting up to a better standard!
