BSIAB v1 oscillation -- any suggestions?

Hey all!  So I pretty much finalized my BSIAB and the oscillation is still present and quite bad at high settings...still usable, but a problem that I'd like to fix before moving on.  Are there any ways to approach this more generally that I could experiment with?  Any good reading material that I might look into to get me going in the right direction?

I did try putting a 100uF cap across the battery leads (connected it to the DC jack where the red lead was soldered, and to the ground lug where the black lead was soldered), but that didn't affect the problem at all.  And right now the longest runs of wire are the (1) raw signal in from the input jack to the switch, (2) the wire from the switch to the start of the effect, and (3) the signal out wire from the switch to the output jack.  And those three are spaced well apart from each other (the signal wires are pushed out to the sides of the box).

Or, if anyone wants it as-is, I'd be happy to sell it for a nominal amount...since I'm gonna make the v2 for my guitarist...

Any help will be greatly appreciated!!
