How can I add a 3pdt switch with true bypass when I rehouse the circuit? Also are there any mods I can perform to make it sound like a Tyrobrache Octavia or generally better in any way? Many thanks

BTW Does it matter which leg I solder to the resistor in a LOOPER? Thanks

There is a bundle of wires that go from the circuit board and plug into the switch/jacks board. The top wire (closest to the jacks) is the input. Down from that they go B+, ground, nothing, and output.

The only mod I might try sometime would be to switch the silicon diodes with germanium so it would be true to the Foxx Tone Machine.

Good luck!

YESSS!!!! FOXX IS BACK!!!!

On another note...try some common tone machine mods...there's a bunch out there (Search the forum...)

Well, then. What germanium diode values would I use? Should I improve the pots also? If so which values? And can any provide me with a diagram of how I can add the True Bypass using the 3PDT. Thanks

Aight....well first off, what type of switch is in there? like a boss style two pin on-off one? does it have like a buffer? (like a boss pedal...).

In terms of pots...I'd go with them small alpha pots....Fuzz Central has the mouser #'s for them....look under Tremelus lune parts list.

For wiring, post the type of switch that's in there, and I'l help you work out how to put a 3PDT in there.

For Diodes, mine has a nice set of Germanium 1N34A's. You can get these at your local Radioshack....

P.S. Fuzz central has a Tone machine proj too...check it out for possible mods

Don't the pots work?
If you can fit a 3PDT in a dano mini, and figure out the wiring to bypass the electronic switching...kudos. Easiest way I've heard is leave it on, and run it in and through a bypass box. Otherwise use a separate bypass box, but by that time I'd probably choose to clone a FTM.
Convention creates following, following creates convention.

I said pots, because I've played through and own a couple of danos( played many, own two...). The pots are not reliable, and in one of them, it was surface mount trimpots with shafts....

For the bypass, Pete is right. You could also just leave it on (short the switch), and use the wires going to the input/output jacks as the i/o wires of the effect.

If I tried to make is TB it may just switch between that and dano bypass. Apparently the Germanium diodes won't fit on the French Toast circuit, is that true?
