let me start by saying this is not another "whats a good pedal for metal" thread... well sorta not.
I have built joe D's Obsidian and freakin love it. I built the Vulcan, and really loved it too- till I gave it to a friend thinking I can build another, but 6 builds later and I cant get one to sound as good as the first one sounded... any way... so I know where to get a GREAT metal tone... but what I'm wondering if there is something along those super high gain lines with a little more tube tone to it.
The big catch is that Im still sketchy with schems so I need a layout too. ive seen countless RDV H.M.P schems, but never a layout... maybe Ive missed it. But from what Ive heard of it, it should offer what Im after...

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

thanks!

I've been using mine a lot lately for a big bottomed scooped mid sound.

I would suggest searching for a schematic of the Mesa (Bottle Rocket, I think its called) tube pedal.

Any dual should work. If you have a variety, try em' all!
