The other day I was watching an old christmas home video, the year that santa brought castle grayskull. Then I remembered that it had this really cool echoey microphone. It must have had some kind of simple spring reverb unit, because you could knock it around and hear the spring. I was curious to know if anyone has taken one apart to see how it worked, maybe you could incorporate it into some kind of effect or something. That would be cool!

Howdy!
My girlfriends kids had one of those plastic ones from a dollar store that has a spring inside it, I tried it up against a mic, but not enough volume.   Any suggestions how to get the volume up?

It sounds like you are in a tank of water! It would sound great when singing Octopus' Garden -Beatles

Peace!

Those dollar store microphones are great. You could probably set it up running the signal from a 386 amp into it.

I guess I could use a mini amp like mentioned and a little small speaker on the end of it.  Put that up to the mic!

Thanks!
