Is there such thing as a concentric push/pull pot?  I'm trying to minimize the number of pots, but maximize versatility.

Thanks,
Matt

bump... don't want this to die because the title wasn't specific.  Last attempt.

Like one where you have two concentric pots, and either or both is also a push/pull?  Never seen such a beasty, myself.

However, my old car radio had one where there were two concentric knobs-- a large inner one and a ring around that near the base-- with the center knob being a push-button.

hmm...don't know about Push pull. There exist expensive things called dual concentric pots though. They have two knobs (the bottom half of a dome knob, and the top half), and two seperate potentiometers that these control. I know Stewart Mcdonald has them here.

Yes, such things exist, but as noted theytended to be found in car radios where one knob had to fulfill many functions.  I have some pots at home that are, let's see, quad-ganged (well, dual dual-ganged concentric), with a push-pull switch and a rotary switch too.

The problem with such pots is that: a) they tend to have ridiculously long shafts that will only fit inside custom chassis or.....car radios, and b) just TRY getting knobs for them.

you can get them custommade - but count at least on 50$ min/per pot,
with at least 10pcs minimum order...
