octavia oscillation

i know people have the problem of oscillation with distortions when the fuzz knob is turned to max, but i only get oscillation when the fuzz is to max and my tone control on my guitar is set to max.

i built the pedal over a year ago built, but only got the problem when i switched it from a 1590bb 2 a 1590b, the only thing i changed was the fuzz pot (from 5k to 2k).

its really bugging me when playing cos i have to double check the settings before either turing it on or selecting a different pickup just to make sure it wont go into oscillation
