BOSS potentiometers

my friends gave me his DD-3 so i will fix it... just a broken shaft on of the pots. (20K) i am wondering where can i get this type? are they made only for BOSS? I looked in the mouser catalog and could not find any

yes you can get from mouser or smalbear , hmmm i think in Haifa or tel aviv are good electronics store .... i don't remember the names , but when i was on kibut some time ago , i saw many electronic stores.....

i live in haifa and there's only one "good" electronics store here (tal-mir) and they often don't stock things i need, but than again, i almost always look for stuff no one stocks  

are you sure about the BOSS pots? I have many types of miniature pots. at home but non look like these... 1.3mm 50K

You can get pots pretty close to the ones that Boss uses from Mouser.  The only difference is that the ones from Mouser have a long 4mm round shaft.  Boss pots have the knurled 6mm shafts. Both have different sized bushing mounts (Mouser's are smaller).  I've ordered both.  You can contact Boss to get a direct replacement.  If I can remember correctly it was about $7.00 US total (shipping included), so to get an exact replacement to keep everything stock can be worth it only if it's just a small # of pots.  If you can find a knob to go on the mouser 4mm pot shafts that is externally the same as the Boss type, your set.  Those pots are $1.96 US.
Here are the part #'s per value:

31CX505   (500K)
31CX601   (1M)
All are linear taper.
Here is a knob that works with this shaft:
Mouser Part # 45KN050      (1.09 ea.).
That knob is different from a Boss type knob, though.

thanks for the help... i think i will get those from mouser. i have no idea how i missed them on the first time!

i tried getting the part from boss but they sent me to importer in israel, who will only fix the pedal for a payment. i told them i will pay for the part and install it myself but the answer was that this part has no price as they get it from boss for free but they have to charge me for work (around $40) which seems to me like a joke and i faxed boss with my opinion about this policy.

Man, thats too bad that Boss wont sell you one direct.  I guess it's a shipping issue, maybe?  Spending $40 just to get a pot replaced is insane, unless you couldn't do it yourself.   Good luck with the pedal repair.
