So i have a few questions regarding a few different things. I want to build a geofex spyder and after asking a few questions I came up with this for how I'll wire it up. I'm going to be using the 2.1mm plastic boss jacks (so they don't ground to the chasis with two positive lugs, one of which switches off when you plug something in. I'll use that to have the blue LED's turn off when you plug something in as an inicator for which jacks are in use. Kind of useless I know, but here is the diagram:

Any problems you can see? Also, do I have to do anything to filter the 9vAC out? I'm going to try and find some other connector for it, to avoid any mix ups.

I'm also wondering something about the TS-9. I have one and I'm going to be swapping the IC out, and I wanted to switch the LED too. Where in the circuit is the current limiting resistor for it? I was looking at a few schematics and just couldn't figure it out.

Thats all for now, thanks for the help.

I'm also wondering how people have mounted the PCBs/Perfboards in custom power supplies before. The board would be mounted to the top, since you can remove the bottom. With the weight of the transformer, I wouldn't trust those plastic stick on standoffs. What other options do I have, other than drilling through the top of the enclosure and using screws/nuts/plastic standoffs?

The only thing that I see is the value of the cap between the bridge rectifiers and the regulators. You may want something larger in there. I generally use something about 10X larger which is overkill in most cases but if you have a big load it will make a difference.

No additional filtering is needed on the 9VAC leads and using a 2nd style of connector for AC is very smart. Good call! 8)

The resistor will be in series with the LED in most switching circuits. Just find the LED and follow the leads from it. The resistor should be hooked directly to one of them. If you post a link to a schematic someone here will point the resistor out, but there are tons of different schematics out there and most do not show the switching section.
