DPDT switch not... switching...

Ok, it's pretty embarresing needing help on a Solo-Pro; but this is ridiculous.

I've hooked it up just like the schematic (even tried making a few changes) and the first pot controls the volume even when I switch.  I used a different switch and there's the same problem.  So it can't be a bad switch.

Then I tested.  I just hooked up a input/output to the switch, and ran a wire on one side to complete the circuit, and left the other open.  No sound even when I switched.  I then put the wire on the open side and left the old wire side open.  It worked constantly, even when I switched.

So either one side doesn't work, or it's not switching... right?  Brand new, I just got them in the mail, and the same problem with both.   So, I'm kind of stumped.

Any ideas?

What are you doing with the ground lugs of the jacks?  This may be your problem.  They should just be connected together.  Also do you have a multimeter, if you do you can test what poles of the switch are connecting.

Ah, sounds like that's it.  I'll try it when I go home tonight.  Thanks!

Nope, still doesn't work.  It switches to the second pot when I hold it down, but once I release it it goes back to the first one.

Sorry, no multimeter, the, uh, top ones work  .

Any advice anyone?

What type of switch are you using? It sounds like a momentary action switch from the way it's behaving.
