I needed some ge diodes to finish a few projects so I went to the local NTE supplier and cross referrenced 1n34a to nte 109, 110, and 110mp (matched pair). Heres the data sheet http://www.nteinc.com/specs/100to199/pdf/nte110mp.pdf I assume these will work as a replacement 1n34a?

of course... i think most Ge diodes will work well for 1n34... if the application is not very spec-critical...

what projects are you referring to? if its signal clipping, it should work.
Look at it this way- everyone rags on air guitar here because everyone can play guitar.  If we were on a lawn mower forum, air guitar would be okay and they would ridicule air mowing.
