What is a good replacement for a oc44 Transistor as used in a Java Boost

There ISN'T any other transistor that will work and still have MOJO.  DON'T YOU READ THE AD COPY?   :wink:
Socket it and try a bunch.  You'll find plenty of pnp stuff that will work great.

Read the GEO Rangemaster article.
 The right' Hfe and leakage, then one to the next swap tryouts is how most go about choosing the transistor for the Rmaster type circuits, it's finicky about which one it/you likes...try 'some'...YMMV.
 Small Bear, and now I see AMZ has GeQ's offered.
