I Really Hate Push/Pull Switches...

I have a strat project I want to attack, but can not find a ganged pot and DP/DT switch that isn't push/pull.
The idea is simple.  Strats do not need 2 tone controls (IMHO).  I would much rather the last control be an onboard boost (Clapton strat-ish).  What I want...is a 50 to 100K pot ganged to a DP/DT switch that I can TURN on (like the OLD off/on volume controls on radios and tv's).  The idea is when off, the boost is fully by-passed.  When first turned on, your at equity (1:1 volume boost, but low Z), then up to 20 or 30 db boost as you turn it up (mini booster, LPB1, whatever sounds good). I get sweaty when I play...and I do NOT want to fart around trying to push and pull a knob during a song (or fiddle with a mini-toggle), have the knob come off in my hand, or pull it on when its up all the way and I didn't know and VAVOOM...way too loud for the part.  Make sense?
Anyway, does anybody know where I could find such a part?

I know exactly what you mean. The best I could find as far as a pot with a rotational switch would be linear taper with a SPDT - and you want audio taper with a DPDT.

That's going to take some imagineering.

As much as I hate to say it, but Radio Shack sells the volume pots that have the off position.  Not sure if they have they are ganged though.  I just remember seeing some in the drawer.

...I built 3 Jfet boosters, each with Volpot/switch
the pot comes from mouser in different values, push pull switch features DPDT function...
Then, using resistors of X value, probably in series with the output/signal path, or as a voltage divider, just before 'actual vol control' to set MAx volume at full to whatever level you want.
Sticking resistors on both sides of the VOlpot isn't a bad idea for this, that way when you're in boost mode [yer gonna want output I'd think if you're there]...the volume doesn't go All the way down ,and up to whereever you set the output limit.

>>>If these are liek what I bought, they have a switch, behind the pot, so when pot is fully CCW past 'click', the two lugs of the switch are disconnected. Great for battery switch...if you like to disconnect-battery during set breaks.

I haven't seen the RS pot - is it a xTDP switch, or just good ole' on/off for the whole pot?

Mouser stocks a pot with a DPDT rotational switch?!?!!??

Sorry to misinform.

BTW pete, got a part #  ?
