Ibanez PT-909 true bypass?

I recently got one of these in a trade and I'm not clear about the bypass.  It has a DPDT switch, and it works in bypass mode without a battery in it(there is no adaptor).  I'm thinking that doesn't prove it's true bypass but I'm not sure.
I really like this thing and am thinking of cloning it.
Anyone know if this is true bypass?

The vast majority of commercial modulation pedals use solid-state SPST switching to "bypass"the effect.  They can do this because the effect is only produced when the wet and dry signal are combined.  If the wet signal is "lifted" (i.e., its signal path is interrupted), the effect is not produced.  Thouh this is normally produced via a FET and associated circuitry, it can also be achieved with a stompswitch.

I have absolutely no idea what implementation exists in the PT-909,  All I know is that companies like Ibanez *normall* pursue a different path because it is available to them.  Of course, if the clean signal is available unattenuated when the stompswitch is actuated in a battery-less context, then the odds are good that Ibanez bought into the TBP thing and stuck a DPDT switch int here.
