Hi Guys

I've been given the pedal to repair from a friend. I have noticed the reason it's not working is that two wires have come adrift inside - the quality of production is awful!!!

One is the 9v+ from the battery snap and the other one is an orange wire from the end terminal of a 10 pin connector.

The trouble is there are no visible signs of where the wires have come from i.e. broken solder pads.

I cannot seem to get a schematic for this particular model. Does anyone have one or know the layout?

Regards

Take a look at the "technology of wah" article at www.geofex.com.  The schematic there should fit your wah except yours will probably have an input buffer and some power adapter protection.   For the +9 wire, just find a spot on the schematic that is connected to +9, for the orange wire you will have to follow the traces on the back of the pcb to figure out what it is doing...  that is unless someone else has that model and knows exactly where to connect it.

Thanks Triffid

one of the first things I did was look at RG's site but couldn't find a schem for this model. They vary quite a bit between revisions.

At first I thought the orange wire was from the inductor, but it's PCB mounted.

I've emailed Jim Dunlop for assistance but not heard back yet.

Can you post pics of the board (top and bottom) -- maybe an extra set of eyes can help spot the break...
