Has anyone done an EH Small Clone chorus on Vero yet?  Is there a layout available?  I've searched but did not find . . .

Well, while of course possible...

I doubt you really actually want to do that (note, I haven't actually made or designed any vero-board layout, so take this with a pinch of salt).

I designed a pcb for it, and that was a lot of work as it was, just because of the number of parts. My guess is that a veroboard small clone would end up pretty big, since there are a fair number of different nets in the circuit.

Just a note, in case you don't get any response any time soon.

Yeah . . . I was thinking that it looked a little complicated for vero . . . but some of these gurus here are pretty industrious and clever

I considered doing it myself, but I know I'm not ready for that kind of undertaking yet . . . just hoping someone had already done it somehow

Thanks

I made one on perf board.

While it was worth the effort in the end, it did take a fair bit of work. One reason is that for each track, I didn't just use solder to bridge between the pads, I used a single strand of thin copper wire from a piece of 240v cable used in mains leads. So for example, I had to first solder one end of the wire to a pad (which already had a component soldered to it), then carefully bend the wire to follow the shape of the track, then cut the wire at the unsoldered end to reach the other pad which also already had the component soldered to it, then solder this end to the pad, then solder each pad along the length of the wire, then fill in the gaps between the pads with solder and build up the entire track.

The reason was so that if in future I ever have to replace a component, once I desolder it and remove it from the board, there will still be that wire soldered to the now vacant pad, and I wont have to dig up my paper work to try and recreate the track.

I dont like doing it this way, I much prefer vero, but if space is a problem, then it's perf board.

Easy on Veroboard - just get on with it!!!
