The updated changes have not been tested, but there is no reason it should not work.  It actually reduces parts used.

Anyway, the original is presently in a compressor I'm using.  It yields very dependable and silent switching of FX.

whoops.  I just noticed and error in the schematic.  One of the op amps should have the input polarity switched.  It doesn't matter which one.  Refer to the old version to get the correct opamp polarity.  I will fix this another day.

Where should I look for a relay ?
Is there a common salvage source for these?
I've never looked for a relay, but assume there are different types...any part #'s or specs I need to be concerned about?
Looks like this would make one fine remote switch..would help keep the signal in the shielded box!

You can order the relay I used in the schematic at Mouser.  I put this part number in bold in the accompanying text on the schematic web page.

You are definitely --right on-- about the possible application of this as a remote switch.

The main thing is that you use a single coil latching relay with a switching voltage of less than 5V.

I started a new thread, but I thought I would add to this one:

I fixed the schematic, and to the best of my knowlege, everthing is as it should be.

The first schematic image on this page is broken.  .  . the only one listed is an older version.  Can you fix?  :)
