I was wondering if anyone who built a output buffer in a wah, could help me.  I would like to add a output buffer to my crybaby classic.

The part i am confused about is how to wire it to pedal.
I don't want to build a circuit board,
It doesn't look that hard to do.
Thanks  8)

I think a circuit board is necessary unless you somehow do point-to-point wiring...

Hilbi very nicely laid one out for you on vero (verified). :)   Order the vero board from Aron. You can get quite a few small ckts from one board.

wait a moment. i am still confused about something here. :?

From another thread i posted in i learned, that the output buffer lets you ues a wah pedal to drive a fuzzface and it will wah, without a buffer you can't get a wah sound with a fuzz engaged.  Is this the same kind of buffer stock wahs use instead of using true bypass?  why use true bypass and a buffered output then?

I thought that the whole reason for using a DPDT truebypass switch in a wah was to eliminate the need for an output buffer and have no signal degradation, which i can't stand!  So why build a wah with a truebypass switch if an output buffer will stop signal degradation anyway, along with being able to use it with a fuzzface.

oh boy now i am really confused
thanks for the help

PS:i would like to get this straight since i am making an order to mouser and small bear within a couple days or so, to build the Axis Face and Axis Wah/Clyde MCCoy.(not sure which one it will end up as yet)

does an output buffer affect tone of a wah?

Quotedoes an output buffer affect tone of a wah?

the buffer will not affect the tone. it will increase volume a little that is what the trimmer is for if you use the fuzz central layout.

the buffer allows you to use both the wah and the fuzz at the same time. if you use true bypass in a wah it will let you use the fuzz when the wah is disengaged, but once it is engaged you are back to where you started. hope this helps.
