I just found some old light green mkt caps from ERO, I think. I thought they might be useful, but I can't seem to find their values. On one it says
,1 M        another   ,68 M                      others it says 100K

Now I do think the letter is for tolerance, while the number is value. But is ,1 always uF or............?

Try thinking of it from a "process of elimination" view point.

.1mF is 100µF. Sounds too large for an MKT.
.1µF is 100nF. Sounds reasonable for an MKT.
.1nF is 100pF. Sounds too small for an MKT.

Your best clue is the type of capacitor and it's size. MKTs are generally in the range of 1nF to 1µF. (You can get bigger, but they're rare.)

Yes, the letter is tolerance.

Tolerance Codes
C ± 0.25pF
D ± 0.5pF
F ± 1%
G ± 2%
J ± 5%
K ± 10%
M ± 20%
Z - 20% +80%
