yo mean the MXR Distortion +, yes is really easy to build for beginers , also you can add SW to select diferent DIODES  Germanium or Silicon

It's what i did
and i had also a fat mod with another cap at the input try different ones until you find a fatest sound

Yeah , you can play whit the mxr distortion +  , my mod is :

3 type of diodes : Germaniun , Silicon and Led's   :twisted:
also the caps 3 types to :   0.022, 0.47 and 1Uf  :wink:

it's easy to play heheheheheheh
