OK, I built a bazz fuzz a little while ago, and I just got to try it at band practice. It sounds amazing with my guitar rig; however, it has some weird issues with our bassist's setup. It has a really nice smooth synth fuzz sound when he's playing on the A string and down to about the 4th fret on the E string. After that, it just turns into a muddy fuzz explosion. His bass rig is kind of crappy, so that might have something to do with it. He uses a tubeworks mosvalve bass head and a fender squire jazz bass into an 8x10 cabinet. I was wondering if anybody else has had the same problem? I want to try it on a different bass rig and see if the same thing happens.

Which bazz fuss did you make? Try the original. The original was designed for bass. Most of the updates have been modified to work well with guitar, at the expense of bass  :(

If you one a quick change, make sure the input and output caps are big. The original used 10uf.

I built v2 off homewrecker. It has a 4.7uF input cap and .22uF output cap. I'll have to try following the original schematic with my next build. Thanks!

Hmm, I tried that one and don't remember the results   It actually looks ok.  I think I used a  red LED rather than the diode. I should try it again.
