Alpha, but the first person I talked shop with about parts immediately mentioned CTS.

Do 24mm hold up better than mini's?

I'm not sure if they are better, but i have bad memories with mini pots..

16mm Alpha minipots.  Never had any problems with them at all.

Piher, don't know the series but they are plastic. According to the guy at my electronics store the metal ones start to get scratchy sooner.
Don't know if that is true but I like not having to cut the damn metal to shorten the axis.

Oh and they are 6mm, shaft that is

Why? I've fried a couple in the past when my soldering skills were, um, much worse than they are now.

Guess I was wondering about the pot life, but yeah, holding up to soldering is  something else to think about.

I read a builder (forget who) who only uses full size pots, implying 16mm's weren't up to par. That's why I asked. I like minis myself.

I didn't fry them, they didn't work at all.. They costed about 5USD..
They were 11mm wide:) and 6-7 mm beyond the panel..
So pretty small:)
