If anyone have an idea just let me know.
I'm looking for any kingd of effects for guitar and bass.

i think the bc169 is npn, with a hfe around 200 -300....maybe a big muff??

try runoffgroove.com loads of nice circuits there,or tim escobedo's circuit snippets (can't remember the address, try the links.. )...you can use them in replace of stuff like 2n5088,or 2n3904....they should work ok...
depends on what you want to build...distortion/booster ,oct up?

Cheers
Sam

Bog-standard silicon npn transistor, low noise for its day, similar to BC109 (but check the pin-out arrangement - I have a feeling they're different).

BC169 or BC169A - low gain (~100)
BC169B - medium gain (~250)
BC169C - high gain (>300 or so)
