Hi all! I have seen that in this project ( http://www.tonepad.com/getFile.asp?id=50 ) an IC called 5v Reg is used. what is it? I am not able to find it from no part, other names or equivalent of this IC exist?

Thanks!  :D

I believe that the 78L05 three terminal regulator is what was intended.

Get the datasheet and check the pinout.

In response to the questions in the forum - PCB Layout for Musical Effects is available from The Book Patch. Search "PCB Layout" and it ought to appear.

R.G. is correct I just did the rebote 2 and it called for a
5v regulator here it is at smallbear under ICs voltage
regulators and converters http://www.smallbearelec.com/Detail.bok?no=240

Thanks to everybody! Wild Zebra, the Rebote 2 works well?

Just a note to consider:  they also come in different packages.  When you're using it in a single stompbox to go from 9V to 5V without much current, the TO-92 package (looks like a silicon transistor) is sufficient.  When using them in stuff like power supplies to regulate higher voltages and currents, you'll want the ones that have a metal back with a hole to attach a heat sink... these ones can usually handle up to an amp of current when properly heat sinked, as opposed to the 100mA of the TO-92.  Something to keep in mind for the future ;)

I just fiddled with it last night.  Its pretty cool, but its got it issues.  It
seems to get a little noisy on longer repeats and feedback all the way up
(recommend a 12k for the mod 10k feedbacks a little early) but hey
for the price and experience of building it, its a great pedal.

I think the noise is just the nature of the beast
