DIY line 6 FBV ?

I just decided I am going to buy a line6 amplifier (a Spider II) and I was thinking  on building myself a foot controller, the FBV 4 or 2. Does anybody have the schematics?

I was searching on the net and found nothing and I wonder: are they a secret? or it is only cheaper to buy them? Anyways I only want to take a peek at them.

They probably do consider the schem a secret, but even so, my guess is that they're one of those things that are cheaper/easier to buy.  I have one and just looking at the cable (number of conductors) versus the number of controls make it pretty clear that this is a logic driven device, meaning you'd probably have to do some programming to get it to work . . .
