so I'm trying to make a _really_ simple project, don't really know what I'm doing.

it's just going to be a simple on/off box.

I have the box, a dpdt switch, 2 switchcraft stereo jacks, led, and a resistor for the led.

I don't really know how to wire it.  If someone could maybe draw me a diagram, I would be eternaly gratefull.

thank you.

If you mean a bypass box for another effect, you will need a 3PDT switch if you want to use an LED, and also two more (mono) jacks. Aron has this nifty illustration:

But maybe you mean a box that just interupts the signal?

Does that help? The LED is on when the signal is.

Actually, the Millenium Bypass makes a true bypass box with LED with a DPDT, as below. The illustration shows the Millenium 1, but the Millenium 2 works just fine as well, as does the Millenium C variants.

In response to the questions in the forum - PCB Layout for Musical Effects is available from The Book Patch. Search "PCB Layout" and it ought to appear.
