Vox 847 Wah mods help

Hey guys, I'm a totall newbie to electronics and modding pedals, but I would really like to mod my Vox 847.  I already bought an inductor and dpdt switch and I'm gonna switch those around, but I would also like to add a Q knob, a selectable range knob and most importantly an AC power supply.  Do you guys think these are possible for a total newb like me?  If they are could any of you give me some hints.  Any help is greatly appreciated.  I saw the schmatic for the selectable range knob at http://www.geofex.com/Article_Folders/wahpedl/wahped.htm but I'm really not sure how to connect that into a PCB.  So really if any of you a patient enough to deal with my blatent ignorance It would be greatly appreciated.
