I'd been wanting to ask this for a while, but had to hold off until the Line 6 Liqui-Flange was officially released.  I noticed that the envelope controlled flange on the Liqui-Flange, when set to downward sweep, could be tweaked to sound very much like a sitar.  No, not a "ringer" for a Coral Electric Sitar, and certainly miles away from the original or the excellent sitar model on the Variax, but VERY sitar-like in the way that an Escobedo "Jawari" pedal, perfectly tuned and played, can sound sitar-like.

So, I'm wondering if anyone out there has peeked under the hood of the Danelectro Sitar Swami at all.  And if so, did you happen to spot a BBD in there?

No BBD but how 'bout a PT2399? Some other brave soul can trace it though. My eyes hurt looking at SMDs.

To be completely accurate I must admit that I didn't unscrew the board and look on the other side of what is obviously a two-sided board. Once I spotted the the 2399 I stopped looking.
