Many hosts let you have a free site w/some upload space...usually around 50mb.  I suppose Yahoo does....I use this:  http://members.freewebs.com/

There is something called "soundclick" that I've seen a few people use. You register as an "artist" and you can post mp3's there. Not sure of all the terms. Many of the free web hosting places usually have bandwidth restrictions, which can run out in a hurry with sound files (e.g. my sound page at tripod). Not sure if the soundclick site has bandwidth restrictions or not, but I would suspect they would more relaxed, considering the intent.

Try myspace.  You can sign up as a "band" and they host your mp3s.
Q: What do you get when you cross an owl with a bungee cord?

A: My Ass

Well I went and did the soundclick thing
http://www.soundclick.com/bands/1/indigomono_music.htm
and its quite nifty despite the fact you have to get their own player at 7.3Mb but it has pictures so its kinda neat and a very flash way to show off your pedals. In the sample I'm basically just twiddling the volume knob on the guitar and the effect is Joe Davissons easydrive.Good on you Joe!

sean,
you can post mp3's here at the site, I've posted around 8/9 samples, here's the url to post up :

http://aronnelson.com/diyup/UPloaD.php

and here's the place they appear:

http://aronnelson.com/userfiles/

The only limit is that the files have to be half a meg or less

Marty. :D
