Just playing around with some mods on an SD-1 and came upon an interesting find ... Attached to Vr in the clipping section of the SD-1 is a .047uf Cap and a 4.7k res in series ... but they are reverse order in the TS-808 ... I can't remember my theory from 10 years ago, although it's coming back ... slowly... :) ...

I guess my question is does it matter ??? I know it wouldn't matter for series resistors ...

I'm assuming no .... but thought I'd double check.

Doesn't matter.  That RC combo sets the gain range; 1/2pi(RC) (R in M ohms, C in uf) gives you the frequency above which gain is applied (more commonly known as the bass rolloff frequency).  In the SD-1 and 808 this is 720Hz.

thanks .... that's a great explanation ....
