morley ABY question...

My friend has one, and its killing his tone, cutting is gain and making his signal seem to go in and out, is there any sort of mods for these to make them not suck? if anyone could help me, thatd be amazing. thanks!

With only the information you have given my guess would be that you are trying to drive two signal chains at once with a passive split (which the Morley ABY is) in which case you are having loading issues. The best way to resolve this is to use an active splitter with isolated outputs. I have done this with several Morley ABYs using a PCB that I designed to directly retro-fit into the units.

Do a search for isolated output splitters or something in that vain. There a several schematics that you could hack into the box but it is tight in there.

yeah, we are using it in our band to run two amps at the same time.. if the morley isnt well suited for such a task if someone could point me in the right direction of what it, that would be rad.

I've been thinking of gutting my morly for some time now.  I'd like to use isolation transformers but am not sure what to look for when getting them.  What should I be looking at?  I know accuracy should be one.  Can someone sugget a good one from mouser?
