True Bypass box with no LED

Can I wire up a box for a true bypass loop using the basic wiring for a pedal true bypass with a Carling 316-PP? Instead of the input and output of the effect to the switch can I just put the "send and return" jack hots to the lugs on the switch that would have been to the effect? I don't need a LED or anything fancy, it's to bypass a Boss SD-1.- John

Yes.  In a simple passive (true) bypass box, you are only dealing with 4 hot (in, out, send, return) wires and 1 ground wire; so it'd be just like every pedal true bypass except you'd have jacks in place of the effect board.
