Quotejust for the record: is it also labelled 200k or similarly?
(or is it un-marked?)

Oh sorry, it's marked 100K. This pot must have drifted in a manner similar to the ICAR pot Teese allegedly measured and reproduced "exactly".

...don`t think it`s "drift", but rather "wear"
(or it has been "mis-marked" way back in those the days)

one shouldn`t forget, that there are tips and hints on the web
about altering/increasing pot-values by scraping the carbon-film!
(for intentionally changing the value...)

OK, how 'bout "drifted from wear"?

I remeber quite a while ago, when i was doing transports of all kind,
especially for beer- and for wine-distributors,
they always calculated with "fading" or "shrinkage" - in German they got a fabulous word for it "Schwund",
which I would translate as: "vanishment".

(it wasn`t me)

I'm cool with that. My feelings are if you’re selling a very expensive pedal that claims you use %100 exact ICAR pots. It's kind of misleading if you don't describe how your %100 ICAR pot got to 200k when new they came at 100k.

Yeah, you could look at it that way.
