Minibooster blues

Hey fellow effectors,

I just built the AMZ mini-booster using the General Guitar Gadgets board and the results are perplexing.  Everything (effect bypass, LED, C6 bypass) seems to work except I'm getting minimal gain.  With the volume pot dimed, I'm getting only a very slight fattening of the sound.  Maybe I fried one of the J201s?
