Just done with a TS-clone. Started out with the TonePad PCB drawing but redraw it with some modifications. Switches toggels between TS808 and TS9 specs and between asymetrical or symetrical diodeclipping. JRC4558D OP-Amp and TrueBypass.

Graphics made in Illustrator, printed on white vinyl decalsheet. 1590B box sanded, primed, painted black and clearcoated after decal has been applied.

Kojjum ...... fantastic work ...... as usual
Just out of interest, how many hours are involved to get that level of
finish/wiring .... ?

Cheers,
Marty.

Thanks Marty!

The box took me one hour. A lot of wait for the layers of paint to dry. During the wait I soldered the board. The wiring took me about three hours, started 8 ó clock when the kids were asleep and was done around 11.

wow!
thats some top paint work there. how'd you get it all so slick and perfect?

kojjum

Thanks!

First I sand the box with 180 grit, apply a sprayfiller, wetsand with 800 grit, 3 layers of black acryllic car touchup paint, bake in 70°C in one hour, Wetsand the top with 800 or 1200 grit, apply the decal, clean all fingerprints etc, 3 layers of acryllic clearcoat, bake one hour and I'm done!

The decal is a white vinyl A4 sheet for color laser printers.

Kojjum, that is a supreme choice of font you used for the main title graphic of the pedal! I think it brings the look of the whole thing together. As well as a stompbox-aholic I am also a font-aholic but I have never seen that particular one before...I'm curious what it is?
Extended warranty...how can I lose!

Awesome.  And really helpful for us newbs trying to figure out good internal layout for an enclosure.

Is the vinyl decal pretty tough under the clear coat?  There was recent report about a water slide decal top that buckled some under the pressure of tightening some of the hardware to the top.

Really nice work,  superb looking....  What type of pots do you use in this?    Want to know how you got them beside each other in the 1590B box?....

Tanks!
I'm a fontoholic myself! The one used for the main name "blodpudding" is called "Planet Kosmos". I have downloaded it from some free font webpage...can't remember what. It was a couple of years ago. If you like to you can PM me your e-mail adress if you like to have it. It is free so I don't have any problems licences.

The vinyl has proven to be very easy to apply clearcoat to. It was a bit hard before I found a clear that didn't resolve the toner and make it bleed. Acrylic clear works 100% for me. It's important to wait for the clear and decal to dry. I usually bake the box in 70° for an hour.

For this build did I use Alpha pots.
Bought here: http://www.trimlog.se/butik/viewproduct.asp?artnr=HT6LO-100K
Mounted them on a small verostrip.
