Here's a link to the schem, layout,  transfer, build and a cheesy soundclip:

The clip was recorded thru my silverface Vibro Champ with a condenser mic - no eq.  The gain and octave were set kinda low - at higher settings there's more dist than to my taste.  A different jfet is reported to have less gain, so I'll have to try it.  My layout has been at least two years finishing bc of mistakes, and a slow pace of troubleshooting.  This thing really gets a different  sound than my other distortions.  With my Crate Vintage 30 it sounds like Keith Richards on "Can't You Hear Me Knocking".

Cool !!
I've done a couple CMOS and they do sound different, I'm prettty sure I never owned an unbuffered chip though !
 Snarly sounding distortion !!
 Thanks for the clip !

A great, great pedal. I tried to improve it at the time and couldn't.

I miss Frank, wonder what happened to him?
