interesting pedal. definately not what i expected, but i really think it may find its way onto my pedal board (not that it's a huge award, my pedalboard holds about 30 pedals...)

I finished it about 10 hours ago, and played with it for about 2. Its tone really is interesting! I was expecting a fuzzy kind of sound, but it sounds like a heavy crunch... reminds me of my amp, with less gain behind it... it has a ton of sustain, and can ring out very smoothly if you wish it to. It has a very sharp distortion when the tone is up, and it can sound violin-like with the tone down.

I built it using Torchy's layout. Worked perfectly, but WATCH OUT, there is an unmarked resistor hooked onto Q 3's Emitter! it does not belong!

this is my fourth ready-to-box build in as many days  :D  tonight, i am going to prep myself an orange squeezer!

Sounds like you're as "obsessed" as me
I built the "Triangle" BM last week, wonderful sound !!

I was messing with my "Green', which I'd built months ago and liked, sounds OK but I'm gonna pull that board and mess with 'triangulating' it if possible.
Because I have a Triangle I've been using alot since I finished it about a week ago. There are two Ge Clipping diodes in it, one per clipping stage, an Si is back to back for each Ge.
The triangle wasnt' what I'd expected or a whole lot like any big fuzzy boxes I've built.
Takes a little getting used to but it smoothed out 'it's style' in my playing, To which I owe a big note of gratitude, Now it's my good 'ol buddy.
Just Love that Triangle BMP though.

I've just built a BMP as well, I went for the Green Russian values from tonepad.
I did my own vero layout for it, which I was really pleased with as it's only the second one I've done and it worked first time. I'll post it later when I've had time to number the components.
Like the Connoisseur I was plesantly surprised with the sound,  much less fuzzy than I was expecting.
I'd just like to add that I've been lurking round here a while and I've learned loads of stuff, so thanks to everyone :)

Yeah I rarely use my BMP. Its one of those special pedals that I can rarely find a use for. But I do like it. Grats on the build and thanks for the warning about the layout.

Ive built 2 bmps so far- the 1st started right up. the triangle i built recently i cant seem to get to work right (how embarressing!) if i touch certain parts on the circuit board it will. Somthing loose under there i bet, or solder bridge.

One of my most favorite pedals from the past.

Triangle just STOKES my amp.
