I am building an orange squeezer on JD Sleep's layout on a board from Guitar Gadget.  After it didn't work, I checked the voltage on the IC and found they didn't match the trouble shooting guide.

batt - 8.5
1 - 8.5
2 - 8.1
3 - 0
4 - 0

so far so good

5 - 7.6 (should be 4.75)
6 - 7.5 (should be 4.85)
7 - 7.8 (should be 4.87)
8 - 8.5 (OK)

I built one on perfboard and it works fine.  Any ideas?  I have checked and couble checked EVERYTHING.

OK, OK, I was reluctant to post since everybody eventually figures it out...and it ends up something simple...but after 4 hours of troubleshooting I was getting desperate...

Well if you get the above voltages, you have a cold solder joint at the R8 (470k).

I had it all right from the beginning except for that.  Makes you want to start painting water colors or something.
