Weird problem; can't make a better title

Ok, here I got a weird problem; I know I am overlooking something.

I just rehoused my onboard preamp to a pedal case. I made one input and two outputs:
- One output goes to my passive output (same output as the bypass) and goes into the high input of my amp;
- One output goes to my active output and goes to the low input of my amp.

I made both outputs switchable so I can choose wich output is used when the unit is enagaged.

I like the way my preamp sounds woth the low input of the amp (thus I can boost the unit a bit).  I only have one problem: When I select the "active" output the unit cuts my signal in bypass mode. I wired the unit in true bypass; I guess that it is due to the fact I connect to the low input of my amp, but without signal.

Is there a solution to this??

What type of amp? How are the inputs wired?

I have no idea how they are wired; it is a Woodstock amp, made in the Netherlands by Kittie Hawk a while ago. It has the serial 00001.

I'd say...wire it like this:

Preamp /true bypass switch

output selector switch (amp hi input, amp low input, both) (From a 2 humbucker guitar)
