A couple months ago there was a discussion about a goofy handheld deal called something like the Squawk Box.  It was kind of a noisemaker, and had 8 pads that you could use to play it (and a built in speaker).

Someone also posted a schematic to build your own version.

Anyway, I can look it up on my own if someone remembers what the heck it was called.
