I was looking through some old parts and found a part that is the size of a dime in circumference, about 3 dimes thick, 9 pins sticking out of the bottom, one side flat, like some transistors.  The pins look as if they fit into a 9 pin tube socket.

On the top it has these numbers and letter:

F(The letter is slanted towards the right as if a right handed person wrote it , but it is stamped on)
under the F is:
221-37
under this number is:
6942(I am assuming this is a date code) 1969, 42nd week.

Anyone know what this is?
Maybe one of those things that bridge between the vacuum tube and a transistor?

Thanks!
Arn C.

F would suggest it is from Fairchild electronics.  They made little modules inthe 60s that would have several discrete components on one little board all gooped up to keep it dry.
