I heard somewhere that someone built a wah and used a halo and fasel inductors in series for a fatter sound.  Does that mean bassier or more fatter vocal sound?

Did hendrix use a picture or signature clyde mccoy?

thanks

I thought the halos were the best inductors, why does it state on analog mans site that the TDK xxx were the best and then the fasels?

thanks

analog man's site is presenting a Guitar Player article that was written roughly 10 years ago. They apparently liked the "vomiting sounds" that the wahs with the TDK inductors produced. If you read the article closely and read the notes from analog mike and the stuff by Teese, you'll see that they are suggesting that the halo and Fasel inductors are the ones that sound the best, which is not in agreement with that original GP article. Basically, they both feel that the TDK inductors suck (subjective matter of course). Teese contends that the original Clyde McCoy with the metallized polyester tropical fish caps and the "correct" transistors and halo inductors are the best sounding ones made, in his opinion. Teese also states that the circa 1968-69 Maestro Boomerangs are very good sounding wahs, and I have to concur.

Ive owned a few TDK wahs. Not impressed. :) Id like to one day own a Teese wah though.

hey paul marossry or anybody :

I need a Halo inductor for my wah.  I spoke to ariel effects, but he only accepts credit card.  I do not have any bank accounts or credit cards.  I always paid cash for things.  I never wanted to be in debt.

Anybody have a Halo inductor made by ariel Fx I could buy?

thanks

PS: anybody know anybody else who sells halo inductors?

You could always ask them if they would ship C.O.D. - you could pay them with a money order or something.

i asked him.  he said he won't accept cash either. somebody stole it out of envelope once and the customer thought that he ripped him off. i understand this.  I will try to find another place.  thanks though.

he said the money order or cod is way to expensive on his part.  He said it would cost him over 30$ to cash it.
