Ross/Liquid Drive (TREBLE LOSS when gain is down)

I just finished a ROSS Distotion with some of the mods in Phillip's LIQUID DRIVE and a couple value tweaks of my own(nothing major) and WOW! It sounds great especially seeing that it will surely sound better when this problem is taken care of.
First off , I am noticing a Cap value mistake (or discrepancy at least) between any of the Ross / MXR Dist+/ DOD 250 schematics  and the altered one by Phillip. the capacitor I'm referring to is the (.01uf ) immediately after +9volts. In all schematics I find this is listed .01uf BUT  on the Fuzz Central page it's clearly marked as a .1uf CERAMIC cap! He has it pointed out as the only cap that is not Metallized Film in his version.
BUT all the other "changes" to the original circuit are described as what and why they're done. And there is NOTHING about that cap.
SO is this just a mistake ?? (PHILLIP!!!??)

Now the only problem I'm experiencing is that there seems to be a HUGE drop in highs when the Reverse Taper GAIN pot is backed off anymore than about 3/4 up or so. Or when backing off the guitar's volume even if the gain control is "pegged" . AND ALSO my LEVEL control is working backwards but the layout I went by DOES have Lug 3 grounded and Lug 1 getting crkt OUTPUT. So I guess that's just a mistake there as well.?
ALL my voltages are close to Exact with the reference vltgs on  Fuzzcentral.
Besides the confusion on the previous cap value(I used .01 ceramic) The only deviations I made from the schematic is using a 50k Linear pot rather than a  100k linear(phililip's suggestion) or a 50k log(original) I didn't think this would matter. And for the INPUT .01uf cap I used a Polystyrene type  cap. Don't know if that counts as a difference?
Any Info or Advice is appreciated!!!
See the man with the stage fright, just standing up there to give it all his might..
