Popping sound with EH Small clone

Just built but it makes a poping sound when I click the 3pdt  foot switch and engage. Anyone else have this problem?

Check for DC on the pulldown resistors (input and output).  Helps if you link to schematics, but if there's an electrolytic cap on the output it might be wrongly orientated and leaking...or correct and just leaky.
