Hello Hello--
What with all the Fuzzrite talk, I threw together a silicon circuit yesterday [Sat.] and it didn't work properly  [crappy tone, wouldn't bias right, etc.]   Came back today and discovered that I had the second tranny turned around in the circuit.......!    Really stupid move since I've built these things before.  Anyway, 5 minutes later and the thing is up and running.

Brian, how does it sound ??
I've got some time tomorrow, so was thinking of a "Shin-ei companion" or the Fuzzrite !!

Hello Hello  Marty--
Yeah, do both!   I really like the Fuzzrite.  Actually, build a germ Fuzzrite also........different circuit [but close enough]  and well worth the effort for a different Fuzzrite-type sound.   They are really easy to throw together so building all three is no big deal.  Just don't turn the second tranny around like I did!

Hello Hello--
With all original resistor values [470k for everything as per the  "Fuzz Central" schematic]  the collector voltages were around  .60v  for Q1 and Q2.    Anybody else taking any readings??
Brian.

havent takin any readings but...the pic i posted of the sanners board had all 470ks...so i guess that the way to go!
mine sounds quite cool! (its all music machine covers for me!)

Hello Hello-
Hey Doug-- What 's the  hfe of those BC108's that you used???
I used 2N3904 in mine but I'm thinking of making one with higher gain trannys.  What amp are you playing through?
Brian.

didnt check the gain...just threw them in!
ive only played it through my roomates peavey micro bass so far.
but it has a good track record of being accurate (at least compared to my real amp...traynor ysr-1)
