I've got a SD-1 that was modded by my local guy , it's not a keeley mod, but i realised that with the drive knob from 10 o'clock to max, there's no difference to the sound, what happened? Why does the sound remain relatively the same ? should i change the diode, or change the mod back to stock? Can anyone help?

I can't see what you've got, I don't know what you want.
A schematic with listed changes texts, also an idea of what it is you want to get out of the box may help.
Convention creates following, following creates convention.

Ask the guy who modded it if that suppose to happen. Maybe a solder joint got loose and it is saturating after 10 o'clock (something like this happened once to me).

Could just be the wrong taper so that all the usable resistance changes occur within a few degrees of rotation, or could be the pot needs cleaning.
