The input impedance of a Rangemaster is around 50K (without doing the math). Wouldn't adding a bootstrap cap from the emitter to base increase this? It works on the Brian May Treble Booster. Or is the magic of the Rangemaster the low input impedance (like the Fuzz Face)?

in terms of numbers, i think that it would be a neat idea... but you should just try it. after all, what do you have to lose?  :D

also, if it works for a certain type of sound, you could just put in a SPST switch to swap it out...
